A layout can be built in my workshop for delivery to you, or built into your room in situ. Following the initial approach from the customer, I work closely with you over the planning of the layout which typically takes around six months. Once all the details are agreed, for layouts that are to be built into a room I provide plans for a professional carpenter to build the baseboards. Once these are in place, I do the rest from the track laying & electrics to the scenery, backscene & final detailing.
Track can be proprietry or hand built, and I can wire the layout using DCC or analogue, though I strongly recommend the former.
All the structures & buildings will be scratch built, and the layout will be finely detailed as shown in the photographs. Working semaphore or colour light signals can be installed.
The layout will be fully tested before final payment is accepted, and I give a six month warrenty on all my work. Where required, delivery of the layout to you is included in the price.
I am happy to model overseas prototypes and to do research if required, and can model in narrow gauge as well as standard gauge.
I do not provide loco's or rolling stock; other than that, I do it all!
